こんにちは、跳ねる柑橘です。
つい先日、原宿にあるKAWAII MONSTER CAFE Harajuku（カワイイモンスターカフェ 原宿）に行ってきました。
お店に頼まれたわけでもなければ、
ちゃんとした取材をしたわけでもないのですが、
今回は、初の「来店レポート」というものを書いてみます。
なんと大冒険なことに、英語も添えて…。

Hello, I visited one of the hottest KAWAII place "KAWAII MONSTER CAFE" in Harajuku, Tokyo.
now I introduce this awesome place to you all around the world who are interested in Kawaii culture and Tokyo sightseeing. It's my first shop report and first article written in English on this blog. so it may have some clumsy descriptions.

KAWAII MONSTER CAFEとは？／What is Kawaii Monster Cafe？
KAWAII MONSTER CAFEとは、原宿にあるコンセプトカフェ。
そのコンセプトとは、名が示す通り「カワイイ／KAWAII」
きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅや、今や世界的なファッションコンセプトとなりつつある
「カワイイ／KAWAII」を世に送り出し続けている、
増田セバスチャンさんがプロデュースするお店です。
2015年8月にオープンして以来、その奇抜…斬新…奇怪？なんていうんでしょうね、
KAWAIIな世界観が店内で爆発しているこのお店は、
国内外問わず大きな反響を呼んでいます。
お店のHPを見ると、多くの日本の有名人はもちろん、
ジジ・ハディット（Gigi Hadid）や、
米国人気TVドラマ「クリミナル・マインド」シリーズのDr.スペンサー・リード役
マシュー・グレイ・ギュブラー（Matthew Gray Gubler）など、
海外のスターもKAWAIIワールドを求めているらしく、来店しています。
そんなオープンから1年経っても話題のお店に潜ってきたわけです。
KAWAII MONSTER CAFE is a concept-cafe located in Harajuku, Tokyo.
Its concept is, just like it sounds, KAWAII. This cafe is prodeced by Sebastian Masuda, the art director who produce KAWAII culture that is represented by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
Since its opening August 2015, with its originality this cafe has received reverberation around the world. Many celebrities both at home and abroad visited there, like an American fashion model Gigi Hadid, and an American actor Matthew Gray Gubler who is known as Dr. Spencer Reid in the CBS television show Criminal Minds.
Their visits explain KAWAII culture is the one of hottest fashion and culture movement in the world. This time, I went to this topic shop.
入ってみた／KAWAII Experience
場所は神宮前交差点、ラフォーレの向かいにあるYMスクエアの4F。
とても普通のビルに入ってるので、最初はそこで戸惑うかも。
エスカレーターまたはエレベーターで4階まで行くと…
The cafe is located YM square building 4F, near the Jingumae intersection.
This building is very ordinary so I cannot imagine the Monster cafe is in it.
Go up to the 4th floor with an escalator or elevator, then...
うーん、強烈。
KAWAIIというのは極彩色とかおどろおどろしいに近いものなのか…？
と感じつつ、受付の順番を待ちます。
平日のお昼過ぎなのに並んでいました。なんということでしょう。
Oh...it's...strong. is the KAWAII similar to violent colors or some kind of ominous thing...?
Surprisingly, the guests were lined up surprisingly though it was afternoon on weekdays.
色々やりながら撮っていたのでわかりにくくて申し訳ないですが、
写真右側が受付のカウンターで、
中央左側、暗いんですが、ドアの向こうがお店の中です。
カウンターの前に画面があって、4つ何かが映っているものが見えると思います。
これが、店内の4つのエリアを示していて、
MILK STAND、MUSHROOM DISCO、Bar Experiment、Mel-Tea ROOM
この4つのエリアがあります。
この日は、空いていたMILK STANDを選択しました。
この写真いっぱいに写っているモンスターの顔、わかりますか？
こやつがここのお店のイメージキャラクターである、
Mr. Ten thousand chopsticks（チョッピー）さん。千本箸さん…？
なお、清算は後払いですが、入店時に一人￥500のチャージがかかります。
では入店。
The right side of the photo above is the reception counter, and the left side there is a door to the shop.
You can see a screen in front of the counter, it shows four areas in the store, that is: MILK STAND, MUSHROOM DISCO, Bar Experiment, Mel - Tea ROOM.
I selected MILK STAND that was available this day. I couldn't imagine what it was only from the name.
Can you see a face of the monster that is full of this picture? He(?) is the image character of the shop here, Mr. Ten thousand chopsticks (Choppy).
In addition, it costs 500 yen per person when entering the store (Postpay).
Now, let's go inside!
入っていきなり目に入るのは、メリーゴーランド的なもの。
「SWEETS GO ROUND」という、ケーキの形をしたまわる物体。
店内は、満席ではなかったものの、結構お客さんが入っており、
人気のほどをうかがい知れました。
日本人が半分、外国人が半分かな。外国語対応可能な店員さんもいるようです。
さすがKAWAIIの発信地ですね。
The first thing you can see is a merry-go-round shape thing.
It's called "SWEETS GO ROUND" that has the shape of the odd cake.
Although the inside of the cafe was not full, there were many customers. The customers are half Japanese and half foreigners. English-Speaking staffs are available, so you don't worry about English.
ご覧の様に、外国人のお客さんがいっぱい。
店内はとにかくインパクトがすごいです。
キノコが生え、壁には唇が沢山あり…
暗めの室内に極彩色のそれらがひしめいているのでカオス。唖然です。
上の写真のキノコが沢山生えてるところがMUSHROOM DISCOというゾーン。
As you can see, there’re lots of foreign guests.
There are so many amazing things inside the cafe. Countless mushrooms growing, and there are lots of lips on the wall ...many odd things with extremely colore are inside the dark room...chaos! I am stunned.
A place where many mushrooms in the above photo is the zone called "MUSHROOM DISCO". the sheets and tables are under the mushrooms.
こちらが、MILK STAND。
哺乳瓶の形の電飾が天井から吊るされ、
動物（ウマ、ウサギ、ヒツジ）の顔があり、哺乳瓶から伸びる管を咥えています。
カオス。
この顔たちの真下にテーブルがあります。
カオス。
This is MILK STAND.
Lights shape of baby bottles are hung from the ceiling,
There are also some faces of animals (horse, rabbit, sheep) and those faces made tubes extending from the baby bottle in their mouth.

この2枚がMel-Tea ROOMのゾーン。
ファンシーなかんじで、壁にはイチゴやマカロンが。
奥の唇と水玉がなんかすごい。カオス。
These two photos show the zones of Mel-Tea ROOM.
Fancy atmosphere, strawberries and macaroons on the wall.The giant lip and polka dots are amazing... chaos.
Mel-Tea ROOMの手前にあるバーカウンターが、Bar Experiment。
お酒も普通に揃っているほか、オリジナルカクテルもあるそうな。
クラゲをモチーフにしたカウンターのようです。
In front of Mel-Tea ROOM, there is Bar Experiment.
They have some KAWAII drinks, alcohol and original cocktails.
It looks like a jellyfish as a motif.
こちらは私が注文した料理。
カラフルポイズンＣＡＫＥ（スプラッター）というケーキです（￥750）
色は、よくすごい色だ！と言われるアメリカのケーキっぽくもあり、
コンセプトにあった極彩色なんですが、
味は…
ふつうに美味しくてちょっと反応に困る。笑
青と黄色なのでどんな刺激的な味かと思われるでしょうが、
クリーミーで、甘いは甘いですが激アマでもなく。
This is the dish I ordered.It's a cake called "Colorful Poison CAKE (Splatter)" (¥ 750)
It is richly and violent colored with the concept,
The taste is ...uhm?
it is nice. Lol
Because its blue and yellow color, it seems to be exciting taste, but it had creamy and moderate sweetness.
カオス。
Chaos!
決まった時間になると、ショーが始まります。
「SWEETS GO ROUND」にMonster Girlという女の子たちが登り、
EDMとチカチカの照明の中踊りまくってました。
隣のテーブルの外国人のお客さんがすっごいノリが良くて、
楽しみにしてたんだろうなあ…日本での良い思い出になるといいな、
とか思いながら写真撮ってました。笑
The show begins on a regular basis.Girls called Monster Girl climbed "SWEETS GO ROUND" and dancing in the ominous atmosphere...EDM flows, illuminated by dubious lighting.
During the show, the foreign guest of the next table was very nice, kept moving and dancing with smile. I hope it will be his good memory in Japan.
最後に、この日お店にいたMonster Girlを1人。
Finally, I introduce one Monster Girl who was in the shop this day.
Monster Girl Dollyの ゆん さん。
Monster Girlってのは、マスコットガール的な存在で、
BABY、DOLLY、CANDY、NASTY、CRAZYと、5種類いるようです。
こんな見た目をされているので、果たしてどういうキャラなのかと思いましたが、
意外と普通のテンションで、でもちゃんと（？）応対してくれました。
きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅが話すと意外と普通の子だった、ってのと同じかんじです。
どのMonster Girlもカメラを向けると写真の様にポーズしてくれて、
しっかりアイコンとしての活動もしているご様子。
Yun as the Monster Girl "Dolly".
Monster Girls are iconic girls of this cafe. There are 5 kinds of girl: BABY, DOLLY, CANDY, NASTY, and CRAZY.
Because of her looking, I thought what kind of character it was, but she is not so hyper and made a good customer service. It the same as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is an ordinary girl when she speak. Every Monster Girl poses like a photo when you turn the camera, She seems to act as an icon firmly.
まとめ／Conclusion
いかがでしたか？
コンセプトカフェってあまり行ったことが無かったのですが、
ここに関して言いますと、
遊園地みたい
という感想でした。
非日常で、カオスで、KAWAIIに溢れ、ちょっとお値段が高い。
でも楽しかったです。
また来るかはちょっとわからないですが…笑
夜にイベントをやったりしているようなので、そちらの一面も楽しそうですね。
原宿観光の際に、KAWAIIに触れたいという人はぜひ行ってみてはいかがでしょうか。

How was it?
I had never been concept cafe much, but it impressed me!
It's like an amusement park. In extraordinary, in chaos, overflowing with KAWAII, a little pricey...but it was fun.
I do not know if I will come again ... haha
There are also events in the evening, so it seems fun to be over there as well.
